Let your child choose what they read
Allow them to select the type of books they read, at least half of the time. They may choose comics or graphic novels, but they will still be reading. The more time they spend reading, the more they will be forming this as a habit. Usually a habit takes about 15 days to become established. Remember to try to reinforce this on a daily basis.
